“If I’m explaining it, might not make sense” Simone Biles spills beans on how much she understands husband Jonathan Owens’ sport

Highlights:

Biles had a surprising take on her knowledge of American football and how much she understands American football.

Her explanation was not only unexpected but delightfully endearing, making it a must-hear for the fans.

American gymnastics icon Simone Biles and her Chicago Bears football safety husband Jonathan Owens have always had each other’s backs ever since they started dating in 2020 after meeting on the dating app Raya. In addition to being supportive of each other behind the curtains, the duo also shows up for each other when they are competing in their respective sports. The same was witnessed recently when Owens reached the French capital to cheer for Biles during her Olympics campaign while Biles was also seen supporting Owens during the Bears’ Thursday game against the Seahawks, wearing a custom-made outfit dedicated to him.

Despite her attendance at various Bears games, Biles had a surprising take on her knowledge of American football and how much she understands the sport. Her explanation was not only unexpected but delightfully endearing, making it a must-hear for the fans.

Biles’ astounding take on American football

On Thursday, December 26, the Olympics shared a video on their Instagram handle where Biles revealed that if asked about the football, she would barely be able to explain how things work in the sport. She noted that she would be able to explain to a toddler but not an adult. In contrast, Biles also revealed that Owens knows so much about gymnastics.

In addition to all this, Simone Biles once again headlined America’s Summer Games campaign at this year’s Paris Olympics, earning four medals, including three gold and one silver. With this, the 27-year-old became the most decorated Olympic gymnast in US history with 11 medals, surpassing her compatriot Shannon Miller, whom she was previously tied with, seven medals ahead of her this year’s Olympic appearance. The Ohio native is now scheduled to compete in the World Gymnastics Championship in 2025 while her husband Jonathan Owens is set to appear for the Bears in their next game against his previous team, the Green Bay Packers, on Sunday, January 5.
