Simone Biles attacks Riley Gaines after her latest rant with transgender athletes: “You’re truly sick, straight up sore loser”

Simone Biles has publicly criticized former collegiate swimmer, Riley Gaines, as the Olympic champion describes her as “truly sick” and a “sore loser” following the latest comments about transgender athletes.

The confrontation emerged after the 25-year-old right-wing personality mocked a Minnesota high school girls’ softball team that includes a transgender player, something that the artistic gymnast isn’t letting slide.

“Comments off lol … To be expected when your star player is a boy,” Gaines had commented on X.com, formerly Twitter, after the Minnesota State High School League shared a celebratory post upon the Class AAAA state championship.

Simone responded sharply, denouncing her history of remarks about transgender inclusion in sports and offering a big wave of support and allyship to the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.

“You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,” Biles wrote on X. “You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports.

“Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports. But instead … You bully them … One thing’s for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around.”

Gaines fires back at Biles

Gaines has become a prominent figure in the campaign against transgender athletes competing in women’s and girls’ sports after she tied for fifth place with Lia Thomas, a trans swimmer, at the 2022 NCAA Swimming Championships.

Since then, the political personality has been vocal in media and other spaces, arguing that the inclusion of transgender women compromises fairness in female sports – all stemming from that bitterness of losing.

“This is actually so disappointing,” Gaines said, retorting back at Biles. “It’s not my job or the job of any woman to figure out how to include men in our spaces.

“You can uplift men stealing championships in women’s sports with YOUR platform. Men don’t belong in women’s sports and I say that with my full chest.”

In recent years, she has aligned herself with recent political measures aimed at restricting transgender participation in sports as she continues to venture into reactionary political opinions.

In February 2024, she appeared at the White House, where President Donald Trump signed an executive order that attempts to bar transgender girls and women from competing in female school sports.

The executive action, which may face legal challenges, calls for the Department of Justice to enforce the exclusion nationwide and threatens to withdraw federal funding from non-compliant schools.

“I wish I could’ve told the girl in this photo what was to come in 2025,” Gaines said of her newfound fame. “She felt cheated, betrayed, and violated.

“I’m just glad that girl trusted God and took a leap of faith by stating the obvious when it wasn’t popular. It was true then and it’s true now. He’s a man.”
