Anthony Joshua Makes His Final Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker Prediction Having Fought Both Men

Two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has predicted the upcoming showdown between former opponents Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker.

Joshua faced Parker in March 2018, defeating the New Zealander via unanimous decision to add the WBO crown to his WBA and IBF titles.

‘AJ’ clashed with Dubois last September in a bid to become a three-time heavyweight champion. After Oleksandr Usyk vacated his IBF title last Summer, Dubois was elevated to full champion having held the ‘interim’ title since his victory over Filip Hrgovic in June.

In an explosive start to the contest, ‘Dynamite’ dropped Joshua in the opening round before going on to floor the 35-year-old on three more occasions, then knocking him out in the fifth round to retain his title, handing ‘AJ’ the fourth defeat of his tenure.

In a post on Turki Alalshikh’s X account, Joshua backed Parker to prevail on February 22, as the New Zealander bids to become a two-time world heavyweight champion.

The 33-year-old from Auckland held the WBO heavyweight title between 2016 and 2018, defeating Andy Ruiz to claim the vacant title. Parker made two successful defences of his crown against Hughie Fury and Razvan Cojanu before he was defeated by Joshua.

Parker has been victorious in his last five outings, which includes impressive wins over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei ‘Big Bang’ Zhang. His partnership with trainer Andy Lee has been pivotal in his resurgence after he was beaten by Joe Joyce in September 2022.

Dubois is also on an incredible run of form which has saw him pick up wins against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Joshua within the last 18 months.

Joshua isn’t the only big name that is tipping Parker to be victorious later this month, with fellow former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury also backing the challenger.
