Fresh details have emerged regarding the prospective crossover mega-fight involving the former unified world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, and creator-turned-prospect Jake Paul.
The bout would represent one of the more improbable bookings in the modern era but, considering Joshua has already taken on the former UFC star Francis Ngannou, and won, it is not out of the realm of possibilities that he collide with Paul, too. It would be, without question, the toughest test of Paul’s career, as the 28-year-old has mostly feasted on former MMA fighters or past-prime boxers, with wins over Mike Perry, Mike Tyson, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, to date.
Joshua, meanwhile, is in the midst of a rebuild following a brutal loss to Daniel Dubois in which he was beaten from pillar to post in every minute of every round. He had previously embarked on a four-fight winning streak, including victories over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, and Otto Wallin, to go along with his historical wins over Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, and Alexander Povetkin.
As “discussions” involving representatives of both fighters are ongoing, Paul’s business partner, Nikisa Bidarian, has shared key details of the super-fight.
Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul: New Details Emerge
Nikisa Bidarian shared a time and a venue for the prospective bout
With Bidarian and Paul looking at their next challenge, their attention — for now, at least — appears to solely be on Joshua. And it’s one they seem confident of securing, when speaking recently to Sky Sports News.
“I think the fight can absolutely happen.”
Though Joshua would be a considerable favorite among bookmakers, Bidarian warns against counting his co-founder at Most Valuable Promotions.
“I’m looking at it as Jake versus Joshua, which is quite biblical, and it’s quite impactful in many ways. I think size-wise, we can get comfortable with it, and I think experience-wise, Jake is learning very fast and growing, and Joshua is a little long in the tooth.
“So it could be a very interesting matchup, and we’re actively discussing it with Matchroom.”

Regarding key details for when, and where, this fight could take place, Bidarian revealed the following:
- They’re looking at early 2026
- They’re considering Wembley Stadium in London
“I think we’re looking at it happening at the start of 2026.”
“It’s public that AJ was taking a little time away, I think he had a little surgery. So once he’s ready, and once Jake is ready, we’re going to squarely focus on that.
“Wembley’s definitely a possibility. Jake said he’d like to do it there. He likes the idea of going in and hearing 90,000 people booing him.”
