Jake Paul has revealed exactly what former world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has told him about a potential rematch between ‘The Problem Child’ and Tyson’s younger brother, Tommy Fury.
Paul first fought Tommy back in February 2023 in Saudi Arabia. The bout is still Jake’s only loss, as he suffered a split-decision defeat.
The social media sensation’s most recent bout came against heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in a fight that saw a record audience tune in to watch on Netflix. Despite the great anticipation surrounding the fight, Tyson looked a shell of his former self and barely landed a punch before losing a wide unanimous decision verdict.
Ironically, though, ‘Iron Mike’ was not originally Paul’s first choice of opponent. Tommy Fury was reportedly offered £6 million to take the rematch against Jake, but declined.

Paul’s next in-ring outing will come on the 28th of June against former world middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. However, always keen to keep his name in the headlines, the YouTube superstar has had plenty to say about his plans beyond the showdown with Chavez.
A rematch with Tommy Fury is certainly something that Paul is open to – and Tommy appears to be on the same page. ‘TNT’ returned to action earlier this month following almost two years out with a hand injury, in a win against Bosnian fighter Kenan Hanjalic.
Shortly after picking up the win, Tommy called out Paul, assuring him that he was 100% ready to commit to a second fight between the pair.
Tommy declared:
“Jake Paul’s a b**** and he’s running scared. Jake, the hand’s fixed now, baby. The hand’s fixed. I fought a guy (Hanjalic) in here tonight who’s had over 100 amateur fights and is experienced as hell, and he’s as tough as teak.If Jake Paul wants to step inside this ring, I guarantee you next time I’ll knock you spark out.”
Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Paul talked positively about the idea of a rematch with Tommy, but admitted to being concerned over whether the duo can get a deal over the line.
“I think the Fury fight will happen in the next 12 months, yeah. He just has to be realistic about what he’s worth, right? He just had a free fight on DAZN that tanked, couldn’t sell the tickets in wherever he was like a 1,000-person venue, and he’s just negotiating like he’s God. Again, I have ten names waiting to fight me in multiple different sports, MMA, boxing, all this stuff.”

Paul then went on to leak details of a private DM exchange that he had had with Tyson Fury. Despite Tommy winning the first fight, Team Fury seem to acknowledge that the rematch with Jake is the biggest opportunity available to the former Love Island star.
Tyson allegedly stated as much in a DM to Paul. The 28-year-old explained:
“I DM’d Tyson Fury because Tyson was like, ‘You guys need to make this happen now. I was like, ‘Tyson, you’ve got to put your brother in check here. He’s not going to get this money or this offer anywhere else.'”
Even though the rematch could be seriously lucrative, Paul still has his doubts that Tommy will actually agree to fight him again.
“He’s been boxing since he was six years old, it’s going to be the same stuff, same coach, his dumbass dad. He hasn’t got any better, so I just can’t wait. Seriously, I can’t wait to get in there with him, and whenever we can make that happen, it’s going to be Christmas Day for me.”
