Claressa Shields Praises Her Man Papoose for Being Faithful: “All Men Don’t Cheat, My Man Don’t”

Boxing superstar Claressa Shields is making her loyalty loud and clear. The undefeated champ shared a sweet message on social media Friday, posting a photo with rapper Papoose along with the caption, “All men don’t cheat, my man don’t.”

The couple were all smiles in the image, and the tweet instantly went viral, not just because of the sentiment, but because it stirred up past drama. Papoose is currently going through a public divorce with Remy Ma, who previously accused him of having an affair with Shields herself.

While Shields didn’t directly address the controversy in her latest post, her tweet felt like a subtle clapback. She appears unbothered by the whispers and ready to shut down any speculation about their bond.

Still, the internet wasn’t all in agreement. Some praised her confidence, while others questioned the timing and backstory, pointing to the messy breakup playing out online in past months.

Regardless of the noise, Shields is standing ten toes down for her man.

Roomies, y’all already know Claressa Shields doesn’t play about her man Papoose. Well now, she’s opening up even more about their relationship, making it real clear she doesn’t have to stress about him creeping or doing her dirty behind her back.

Claressa Shields Doubles Down On Trusting Papoose

On Friday, June 6, Claressa Shields posted a fresh flick on X (formerly Twitter) showing her and Papoose boo’d up after their stop at Power 106 FM. In the pic, Pap stands right behind his lady while she cheeses for the camera. Even though they looked GOODT together, the internet didn’t focus on the photo at all. What really got folks talking was Claressa’s caption.

The GWOAT wrote, “All men don’t cheat, my man don’t 😊

Social Media Weighs In

Folks jumped right in, Claressa’s replies, claiming that her comment wasn’t valid since Papoose is still legally married to Remy Ma and only recently filed for divorce. Meanwhile, folks over in The Shade Room’s comment section also had words for Claressa Shields over her caption. Peep some of their reactions below.

Remy Ma & Papoose Pop Out To Celebrate Their Daughter’s Graduation

Speaking of Papoose, he recently reunited with Remy Ma to support their daughter Reminisce at her kindergarten graduation. As The Shade Room previously reported, Pap and Rem dropped some adorable pics of their baby girl on the ‘gram, and she was serving a look, okay!

Rem’s mini-me rocked a white dress, which she complemented with bedazzled heart-shaped shades. She topped it off with a Chanel choker! Papoose’s caption was full of proud dad energy, calling Reminisce the most amazing kid in the world.

It is amazing to see how a man in his mid-forties is so passionate about what he calls his career as a boxer. This man is Manny Pacquiao, and he is not stopping. After his comeback, when he was away for almost four years, it was as if he was feeding on something that suddenly gave him the strength to challenge anyone he felt like fighting. His loss in 2021 against Yordenis Ugas might have hit him hard. During his time off, when we thought he had retired, he was planning a whole fight segment to show the world that even past his prime and during his retirement years, he could still make it happen.

He wants to be in that boxing ring

Retirement is a chapter closed for many sports players, and usually, there is an age for it. While some pursue other professional careers in business or in the corporate world, some come back and coach upcoming players. However, it does not look like this concept or equation applies to Manny Pacquiao. When we thought he had other plans, he had other plans, and that was to get back into the ring.

To a certain extent, this is not surprising. He took part in a boxing exhibition in July 2024 against Rukiya Anpo at Super RIZIN; therefore, the attachment was something that was quite evident; hence, there were rumours about his comeback. While we are aware now why he came back, the question remains: why now? Why not a year after his fight with Yordenis Ugas?

Manny Pacquiao: He can’t take his eyes off Gervonta Davis

The first fight has not begun yet, and he is already thinking about his next opponent. We are not even sure if he will win because Barrios is 29 years of age, in his prime, with so much strength and endurance; chances are very low for Manny Pacquiao to win this battle. ‘Pac-Man’ and reigning WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios will challenge each other on July 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While that is already set and confirmed, Manny seems to be planning and has claimed that he wants to fight and face Gervonta Davis. Has he won this fight with Barrios? No. Is there a chance that he will win? We do not know, although there are some doubts about it. His level of confidence is good and unrealistic too because him targeting men in their prime could just embarrass him and knock him down. He expressed that,

Why is Manny Pacquiao back?

I think he wants to prove a point. That could be, but just because he is “old” does not mean he cannot fight or win or acquire a championship. Additionally, Pac-Man returns to boxing seeking the WBC Welterweight Championship. Because he is one of the greatest boxers, his pride has led him to think he can have it all. He wants to become the oldest welterweight champion of all time.

Manny Pacquiao wants to make history. He wants to leave a legacy; it is something he is hungry for. However, it is concerning because could this be one of those unexpected wins and celebrations in the boxing world, or will it be a farewell tour, or even worse, a smack in the face? What we are sure about right now is that we cannot stop him. He has a fire burning so much that he is not looking at the age of his opponents; rather, he is looking at the skill he has acquired and plans to utilise it in a way that modern boxers might have to stop and rethink their place in the sport.

Mayweather doubts Gervonta Davis against Manny Pacquiao: “After seeing Tank’s performance…”

Manny Pacquiao refuses to stay retired and rumors about his return to the ring are growing stronger. At 46 years of age, the former eight-division world champion seems determined to come back in force, and not just for one last fight, as was originally supposed.

This was confirmed by the president of the World Boxing Council (WBC)Mauricio Sulaiman, who revealed that ‘Pacman’ will face Mario Barrios for the welterweight title on July 19

The announcement surprised both fans and analysts, who are now wondering what will happen if Pacquiao wins the belt, as it is not known how much longer he could remain active or who his future rivals would be.

However, during a press conference in Las Vegas, Pacquiao said he will make decisions about his future after the fight with Barrios, leaving the door open to the option of facing big names such as Ryan GarciaDevin Haney and even Gervonta Davis.

When is Manny Pacquiao vs Gervonta Davis fight?

This last possibility has especially caught the attention of fans, who are already speculating about a fight between the Filipino veteran and the undefeated Davis, known as “Tank”.

With the growing expectation for Pacquiao’s returnJeff Mayweather, former boxer and uncle of Floyd Mayweather, spoke about a possible duel between Pacquiao and Davis, raising the question of the agreed weight.

“What weight are they going to fight at? I think that’s going to influence a lot. Isn’t Pacquiao going to fight Barrios at 147 pounds or something like that?”Jeff asked, stressing that Gervonta Davis has never fought above super lightweight.

Davis, currently at the peak of his career, would be the clear betting favorite due to his youth and fitness. However, Pacquiao, despite the inactivity and age difference, as he is 16 years older than Davis, has a long experience on the big stage.

Who is the favorite in Pacquiao vs Davis?

Despite the favoritism towards Davis, Jeff Mayweather believes that the outlook is not as clear as it seems, especially after the American’s most recent performance

In March, Gervonta Davis had a tough fight against Lamont Roach Jr., which ended in a majority draw, leaving doubts about his performance.

“I think most would have thought that Pacquiao would have no chance, if it wasn’t for that bad performance by Tank,” said Mayweather“After that fight, believe me, there will be a lot of people who will say that Manny Pacquiao has a chance,” he concluded.

For now, nothing is confirmed, but the possible return of Pacquiao and his willingness to face the best of today is one of the most relevant topics in the boxing world.

Undisputed world heavyweight champion Claressa Shields will defend her belts against IBF light-heavyweight champion Lani Daniels on 26 July in Detroit.

Shields, 30, became the first undisputed women’s heavyweight champion with a unanimous points win over fellow American Danielle Perkins in February.

The two-time Olympic champion added the IBF, WBO and WBA heavyweight titles to her WBC belt with her 16th professional win.

Shields added to her undisputed titles in middleweight and light-middleweight to become boxing’s first undisputed world champion in three weight classes.

Shields was suspended by the Michigan commission in February after she tested positive for marijuana following her defeat of Perkins.

The suspension was dissolved after evidence showed procedural errors occurred during the collection of Shields’ samples.

New Zealand’s Daniels, 36, is a former IBF heavyweight champion.

She is unbeaten in her past nine bouts, including two draws.

The fight will be held at Little Caesars Arena.

Jim Courier points out where Carlos Alcaraz is even ahead of Rafael Nadal as he reaches the French Open final

Carlos Alcaraz is into another French Open final, having beaten Lorenzo Musetti this afternoon.

The match started off as if it was due to be a long, drawn-out affair, but once the 22-year-old got firing it became one-way traffic.

He brushed off the setback of losing the first set to wrestle the second in a tiebreak before bagelling the Italian in the third.

However, it swiftly became clear that something was wrong with Musetti, a notion confirmed when he called for the trainer. His movement had slowed and the match had got away from him, leading to his sad retirement.

Despite that, Andre Agassi was still left stunned by what he had seen, with Jim Courier going as far as to state that Carlos Alcaraz has surpassed Rafael Nadal in one key area.

Carlos Alcaraz told the area of his game where he’s surpassed Rafael Nadal

Given his current trajectory, the young Spaniard is actually on track to mimic what his legendary compatriot did in terms of Grand Slams won, such is the scale of his winning record at these elite events.

At just 22 years old, Alcaraz is a mainstay at the latter stages of almost every event he participates in, with the French Open his latest favourite after making Wimbledon his own too.

His game is perfectly moulded for every surface, but clay in particular is proving a true success. Agassi started his praise by stating: ‘I mean, look at the average speed of his forehand compared to his fastest. He never knows what’s coming off the racket and what that doesn’t say is how feathery his touch is as well.’

Courier would follow that up by comparing Alcaraz to Nadal, noting: ‘And with that forehand, just to put those numbers into context, that’s the same type of rotation on the forehand that Nadal got in his career, which revolutionised the sport. Don’t take my word for it, Andre had to play it. But the speed of the shot is so much greater than Rafa’s.

Rafa Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz

‘Rafa’s forehand was in the high 70s. If you can hit it that hard with that much control, it can cause problems and force you to basically push your body past its limits, which is what happened with Musetti.’

Andre Agassi praised one area of Alcaraz’s game that’s changed, but some traits he boasts are simply so good they barely need improvement.

Carlos Alcaraz reaches yet another French Open final

It seems that, once Alcaraz decides he likes an event, he develops a fascination with winning it.

At Wimbledon, he was not content with claiming a dramatic five-set victory over Novak Djokovic, so had to follow that up by crushing the 24-time Grand Slam champion in straights.

And, having reached the French Open last year, he seems poised to mimic that feat on the Parisian clay.

He is yet to learn who his opponent will be, but knows that it will either be Djokovic again or Jannik Sinner, his generational rival who he overcame at this event last year.

Neither will pose an easy afternoon for Alcaraz on Sunday, but the tennis community is at least guaranteed a blockbuster clash as one of these two superstars seeks to wrestle the title from the defending champion.

Fabio Wardley is hoping victory over Justis Huni can prove to be a springboard to an eventual world title shot at Oleksandr Usyk.

Wardley and Huni clash on Saturday night at Portman Road, the home of Ipswich Town, and both men are seen as having bright futures in the heavyweight division .

Neither man has tasted defeat yet, but only one can push on towards bigger fights with heavyweight titles very much the focus for the victor.

Last year, Wardley provided a reminder of his incredible power as he blasted Frazer Clarke in the opening session to close the door on their terrific rivalry that also saw them draw in the first half of 2024.

Whoever comes out on top on Saturday night in East Anglia will immediately tum their focus to July 19 at Wembley Stadium.

There, Usyk and Daniel Dubois will collide for the undisputed heavyweight title, and Wardley has given his thoughts on when he will be ready for a fight of that size.

“Is this the fight to get me over the line? Probably not. There’s more stepping stones to be done,” said Wardley when speaking to Sky Sports .

“Ultimately it is 100 percent a step in the right direction and a step into that contention. If he’s [Usyk] saying he’s got two fights left, do I think I would be his next fight? No.

“Early next year is when I’ll be in a prime spot to push on for one of them actual full-on world titles, whether he’s still around at that point or not is only a question for him really.

“But if he is, I’ll 100 percent be pushing my mandatory [shot] and trying to get that done.”

Bill Haney uses Floyd Mayweather to defend his son Devin and does not rule out a fight between them

This comparison comes at a time when Devin Haney has been criticised for his fighting style, which is considered by some to be unexciting. However, Bill Haney argues that, like Mayweather, his son prioritises defence and strategy over aggression, which has been key to his professional success.

The relationship between Bill Haney and Floyd Mayweather has been tense in recent times. In April 2024, the two were involved in a heated argument on an Instagram live broadcast, where they exchanged insults and disagreements about their respective boxers’ careers.

Bill Haney even went so far as to claim that a sparring session between Devin and Mayweather was what motivated the latter’s retirement.

These tensions have fueled speculation about the possibility of a showdown between Devin Haney and Floyd Mayweather, although the latter is officially retired from professional boxing

A fight between Devin Haney and Floyd Mayweather?

Although Floyd Mayweather has declared his retirement from professional boxing, he has not completely ruled out the possibility of returning to the ring for exhibition fights. In this context, Bill Haney has hinted that a showdown between his son Devin Haney and Mayweather could be an interesting option, especially considering the history and tensions between the two.

A fight between Devin Haney and Floyd Mayweather would be a major event in the boxing world, attracting the attention of fans and media alike. However, at the moment, there are no official confirmations about such a fight taking place.

Larry Holmes Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If Anthony Joshua Would Survive In His Era

Larry Holmes is a legendary heavyweight world champion from a golden era who has been sharing his thoughts on Anthony Joshua.

‘The Easton Assassin’ started out his career as the sparring partner for Muhammad Ali. The Americans shared hundreds of rounds in the latter stages of Ali’s career before Holmes eventually started making his own impression on the division.

By 1980, he had become the Ring Magazine and lineal champion, titles which he held for a number of years, while he also won the first ever IBF title and held it for two years from 1983.

His jab is one of the most celebrated in all of boxing, a ram rod weapon which could often win him fights on its own. He was victorious in his first 48 fights with victories over the likes of Tim Witherspoon, Gerry Cooney, Leon Spinks, Trevor Burbick and Ali himself. His first loss came in 1985 against Michael Spinks, and he also lost to Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield before retiring in 2002.

He was asked by GQ if he thought former two-time world champion Joshua is good enough to have survived in his era against the likes of Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman.

“Yeah, I do. Do you know why? Because he’s 6ft 6ins, 240lbs, and he’s a big tough guy. He just needs to get that jab of his right. When I did my jab, it was fast – whap! Whap! Whap! They don’t teach fighters that these days. If Joshua gets that right, he could be great. And if an old man like me can still do it, why can’t he?”

Joshua’s last outing was a destructive KO loss to IBF champion Daniel Dubois. He is currently out recovering from an elbow injury and many hope Tyson Fury will come out of retirement so the pair can have one legacy defining showdown before both walk away from the sport for good.

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis announces he’s retiring after 2025 because boxing ‘is trash, garbage’

Gervonta “Tank” Davis could step into the ring for the antepenultimate time against Lamont Roach on March 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

“After next year, I’m out of it,” Davis, 30, announced Tuesday at a launch press conference for his WBA lightweight title defense against WBA super featherweight champion Roach. “Yeah, out of this sport.”

Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) reiterated his desire to retire at the conclusion of 2025 in a media scrum after his press conference with Roach, declaring a lack of enthusiasm for boxing as his primary reason.

“S***’s trash,” Davis said of the sport. “This s*** is trash, garbage. Fed up. I’m fed up with the whole s***.”

Davis said he wants to stay out of the public eye following his exit from the sweet science, and even refused the idea of signing boxers to his company GTD Promotions.

“I just want to be able to make money and stay out the way, that’s it,” Davis said. “I want to be living without being seen.”

Gervonta Davis

Davis does, however, want to make the most out of his final year in the sport, he said. He mentioned in his media scrum that he wants to box three more times in 2025 before he hangs up the gloves.

The two-division champion hasn’t boxed more than twice in a calendar year since 2019, and with the surprisingly low number of shows Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions — who Davis is aligned with — staged in 2024, it does seem unlikely that he would box three pay-per-view bouts in 2025.

Potential opponents for Davis in 2025 could include a Ryan Garcia rematch, a restarted effort to face Vasiliy Lomachenko, or WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson — although Davis isn’t overly keen on a Stevenson matchup.

“For what? What has Shakur done?” Davis asked rhetorically. “What has he done in the sport? He hasn’t done nothing. Keyshawn Davis is looking way better than him, and Keyshawn hasn’t even done nothing. I’m afraid of what? For us fighters to be afraid of someone, it has to be someone who’s hitting us and hurting us. [Stevenson] doesn’t have no offense, everything is defense. Defense only wins in basketball and football. That sh*t don’t win in boxing.”

Turki Alalshikh revealed to Uncrowned and DAZN’s “Ariel x Ade” show on Tuesday that he hopes to make a Davis vs. Stevenson fight in the future.

Garcia told Uncrowned in November that he would entertain a Davis rematch in 2025 as long as the fight is contested at a higher weight limit than the 136-pound maximum they fought with in April 2023.
