Samantha Worthington and Caroline Veyre will return on Claressa Shields’ undercard on July 26.

Samantha Worthington and Caroline Veyre will be featured on Claressa Shields’ undercard on July 26 in Detroit, the two rising contenders returning in separate abouts.

Shields will be facing Lani Daniels in the night’s main event.

The 29-year-old Worthington (11-0, 7 KO) will face Victoire Piteau (14-2, 2 KO) for an interim WBA title at 140 lbs, with the winner then ostensibly in line to fight for a major title in the division currently ruled by Katie Taylor.

“I believe with all my heart that Jesus created me for this very moment,” said Worthington. “Stepping into the ring to fight for the WBA interim world championship isn’t just a career milestone — it’s part of my purpose and an opportunity I am extremely grateful for. I feel so confident that I’m more than ready to make a statement at this level, and that statement will be made in the ring. The super lightweight division isn’t ready for ‘The Heat’ and I’m about to show exactly why I belong at the top.”

“My ambition is to conquer the most prestigious fights and win the most iconic titles in the world of boxing,” said Piteau. “To get there, I will give everything — my strength, my courage, and my unwavering determination. I can’t wait to fight Samantha Worthington. From now on, I continue writing my story in the United States, ready to win with heart, fierce determination, and the utmost respect for this sport.”

Veyre (9-1, 0 KO) looks to score a third straight win following an upset loss in Mexico last September, and it will also be her third straight fight on a Shields undercard. The featherweight contender will face Licia Boudersa (23-3-2, 4 KO) in a WBC eliminator.

Claressa Shields Tells Remy Ma To Sign Papoose’s Divorce Petition After Rapper Told Her “Refrain From Speaking”

Details from the divorce dispute between Remy Ma and Papoose came to light on Thursday (May 22), but quickly stepped into the shade! Ma blasted her ex-husband’s pockets, and inserted his new girlfriend, Claressa Shields, into it! Well, the boxing champ dropped off a warning amid the estranged exes going back and forth! But it looks like Remy Ma isn’t stepping back, making it clear to Claressa, “Please refrain from speaking!” But Shields isn’t backing down from the ring, sis is letting the rapper know she said what she said. Chile, keep reading to see who said what!

Claressa Speaks After Remy Ma Shades Relationship With Papoose

Like her new bae and his estranged ex-wife, Claressa took her viewpoint to the internet streets on Thursday night. Without naming Remy, the boxer told her X followers that the rapper told “lies” while dragging Pap online. She also said that her interview comments on ‘The Breakfast Club’ must’ve “triggered” Remy. In her second post, Shield said:

“2. Papoose is not my manager 🤣🤣🤣 @MarkTaffetMedia is my Manager! I don’t let nothing or nobody play with my money,” shutting down Ma’s claims that she’s paying Pap to work for her. “Since I’ve been with Pap he has created opportunities for me to get bags! So all that talk was cap.”

Claressa also stood 10 ten toes behind Papoose, telling Remy Ma (without naming her) not to diminish his “character.” “Pap is a helpful man that’s just how he is. It take a lot to piss him off. He’s very loyal and solid. Word is bond to him,” Shields wrote. She followed up on her radio interview, saying she and Pap have been “living [their] best life since mid-August last year.”

“We been living our best life since mid-August last year. I really enjoyed our private relationship for reasons like this. All these people judging a situation they know nothing about. Pap was separated way before I came along,” Shields wrote on X.

In a fourth tweet, Claressa continued shutting down Remy Ma’s shade about Pap and her pockets: “5. HONDA 😂😂🤦🏾‍♀️ AIRBNBS, HOTELS!!!!! Man stoppppp! It’s crazy how everybody broke 🤣🤣🤣 I’m sorry to tell you but I fight too good to be broke. All my cars are 2022s and 2023s, Pap drive a Benz! And got his own place. Everyone know my houses I got. No need to speak lies when the truth will set you free.” Her final tweet warned that there will be a “problem ”

Rapper’s Advice To Stay Out Of The Convo Riles Up Boxer Instead

Claressa Shields

In a comeback on Instagram Stories, the rapper sent an obvious shot that ended with “please refrain from speaking.” Remy Ma called out other facts related to Claressa and Papoose, like her age, 30, their age difference, relationship timeline, and his children’s ages, with one of them allegedly being one year younger than Shields.

Again, Claressa didn’t back down, going in on Remy Ma, too. She clarified that she won’t refrain from speaking. She also said that she’s planning a family with Papoose.

“…And yes you still invited to the barbecues and cookout as long as you have a good attitude! Leave me and Pap alone nobody worried about you!” She later added, “And ain’t nobody scared of you either! Sign them divorce papers Pap filed yesterday Miss”

Remy Ma circled back with another hit at Shields, telling her that her “lil stunt” of engaging online isn’t helping her boxing promo.

Is The Divorce Ink Even Dry? Remy Ma & Papoose Tussle Online

Now, keep in mind that Pap filed the divorce petition less than 24 hours ago! From Claressa’s demand, it looks like Reminise hasn’t even signed her portion of the divorce agreement. On Thursday, she clarified in a video statement that she wants Papoose to file the divorce and that she’s not seeking any form of post-divorce support, including expenses for their daughter. Papoose seems to paint a different picture, saying Remy Ma recently begged to rekindle their relationship. Ma took that one to HEART, and aired out her ex-hubby out, showing texts from him late at night. One thing though, those “Black Love” days between them seem to be over, over!

Tyson Fury insists he’s STAYING retired in huge blow to boxing fans after Anthony Joshua fight appeared to finally be on

The Gypsy King continues to flip flop on retirement

TYSON FURY insists he is staying retired and will not return to boxing for the people who “rumped” him.

The 36-year-old hung up his gloves after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk last year.

But the offer of an overdue mega-money Anthony Joshua fight remains on the table.

Saudi Arabia funded both of those iconic Usyk showdowns and would fund the mouthwatering AJ rivalry.

But the Morecambe millionaire seems to still be seething at his consecutive points defeats to the Ukraine king and has floored talks of a return.

Referring to himself in the third person, from a stunning Lake Como balcony in Italy, he said: “I hear a lot of talk about the Gypsy King returning to boxing and I ask this question: for what?

“What would I return for?

“More belts? I’ve won 22 of them.

“I’ve been rumped, that’s it, fair play to them, they got their use out of me.

“But I’m happy, I am happy, content with what I have achieved and accomplished.

“I’ve been around the world and back again.

“And this is what retirement looks like for the Gypsy King, not too shabby.”

 Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

Confusing reports from the Joshua camp suggest the 35-year-old has just signed a two-fight deal with the Saudis – with a fight coming before the end of the year – but requires surgery on an elbow injury.

All signs seem to point to Fury – who has shared social media clips of himself running and training again – finally coming face-to-face with the London 2012 legend.

But he insists the gym sessions are simply to keep his physical and mental health in check.

And that the fantasy all-English fight will never happen.

He said: “I’m in no rush at all, to come back to boxing and get my face punched in.

“For what? What would I return for? I ask that question.

“I am retired and I am staying retired.

“I have nothing to prove to anybody and nothing to return for.”

Tyson Fury has given a major update on plans to end his retirement and return to the ring.

Fury surprised many boxing fans when he announced in January that he was retiring from the sport following his back-to-back defeats to current heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

“I hear a lot of talk of the Gypsy King returning to boxing, and I ask the question of this one. For what? What would I return for? More boxing belts? Won 22 of them.

Fury has retired multiple times in the past only to eventually return to the sport, so boxing fans may hope there is still a chance that he does indeed lace up the gloves again.

Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are just a few months away from their monumental showdown.

The pound-for-pound stars will meet in an unconfirmed venue in the USA on Saturday September 13, with Canelo putting his undisputed super-middleweight championship at stake against Crawford.

The fight was confirmed just moments after Canelo defeated former IBF super-middleweight champion William Scull in Riyadh on May 3 to achieve undisputed status at 168lbs for the second time in his outstanding professional career.

‘Bud’ Crawford is bidding to become a world champion in a fifth weight class, as well as the first fighter in male boxing history to win the undisputed championship in three divisions within the ‘four belt era’.

Former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs has weighed in on the upcoming ‘mega-fight’ between Canelo and Crawford, revealing in a clip on Fight Hype that he is backing his countryman to stop the Mexican superstar in emphatic fashion.

“Crawford all day! Crawford all day. He might stop him, I’m gonna bet, and I don’t even bet. My son be doing all the betting, I don’t do too much betting, but I’m gonna tell you, Crawford’s gonna stop him, stoppage, stoppage! I’m telling you, stoppage, I’m telling you I’m sticking with that, he’s gonna stop him, knock out! I’m rarely wrong.”

It will be Crawford’s first ring appearance in a weight class higher than 154lbs, after spending the majority of his glittering career coming in at the welterweight limit of 147lbs.

The 37-year-old has set his sights on defying the odds and becoming just the third man to defeat Canelo in what could be a legacy defining victory for the unbeaten switch-hitter.

The 36-year-old recently hinted at a return to the ring

TYSON FURY has jetted for an Italian getaway with wife Paris – and treated himself to a Serie A title decider.

The former heavyweight champion of the world took a private jet to Como on Friday morning.

Fury, who announced his retirement from boxing in January, treated his wife of 16 years to a lavish day in the Italian sun.

The pair enjoyed a romantic meal with views of Lake Como before hitting the open water on a boat.

Tyson – a Manchester United fan – was clearly hoping to banish the memory of Wednesday’s Europa League defeat to Spurs.

He later whisked Paris for an evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, where Como welcomed Inter Milan.

Inter and Napoli were vying for the Serie A title going into the final match of the season.

Milan needed to beat Como and hope Napoli – who had drawn their last two games – failed to get the best of Cagliari at home.

The Fury’s saw two Inter goals – through Stefan de Vrij and Joaquin Correa – as the Champions League finalists did their part 2-0 in the Lakes.

But it was a night of disappointment as ex-United star Scott McTominay sent Napoli on their way to the title with an acrobatic volley as they also won 2-0 to claim the Serie A title.

It won’t have dampened Tyson and Paris’ mood though, with the pair celebrating after their Netflix reality show was renewed for series two.

Tyson Fury

At Home With The Furys follows the Gypsy King, his father John, Paris and the couple’s seven children.

Fury stepped away from the ring in January after a bruising loss to Oleksandr Usyk.

The Wythenshawe warrior performed an unsurprising U-turn late last month in an expletive-filled rant at his two-time conqueror.

And the 36-year-old has been putting in some hard work in the gym since returning from a luxury holiday in the Bahamas.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn recently declared the long-awaited showdown between Fury and Anthony Joshua was still possible.

AJ is currently suffering from a serious elbow injury but is hoping to be fight-ready by the end of the year.

Hearn said: “Look, AJ’s got to have a little keyhole surgery on his elbow.

“He’ll be back post-September. It’s there, isn’t it?

“Let’s just make it happen. I just feel like it’s time. This is the moment.

“We’re reliant upon Tyson Fury.”

Remy Ma didn’t waste any time responding to her estranged husband, Papoose, after he took to Instagram to announce he’s filed for divorce. Then, out of nowhere, Pap additionally claimed Remy was supposedly trying to get back with him, prompting the rapper to speak out! In a heated Instagram Live, she shut down Pap’s narrative, saying, “Every time you mention me, I’m going to drag you.”

Remy Ma Responds To Papoose Filing For Divorce

Remy hopped on her IG Live on Thursday, May 22, and she was ready to clear a few things up. The 44-year-old called out Papoose for allegedly spreading false information about their split. She addressed his post, where Pap confirmed he’s filed legal docs to move ahead with their divorce. “I know you can’t take the L,” she snapped.

“Every time your come-up mentions me, says anything or do anything that I don’t like, I’ma drag you.” Remy was far from done. She proceed by laughing off Pap’s claim that she was begging to get back with him, saying, “Why the f*** would I want to get back with you, sir? Stop lying to these people.”

She even pointed out the divorce filing date, noting Pap had just filed it that day. “Who gave you the money?” she teased, claiming that it was her clout that’s got her ex all this attention. “You can use all my perks, all my jewelry perks, all my jacket perks. Y’all lit,” she added.

Remy Denies Reconciliation Rumors

Remy wasn’t just talking; she came with receipts. The mom of two pulled up alleged text messages from Pap, saved in her phone as “Bozo.” Showing messages sent around midnight, she dispelled Pap from potentially claiming their daughter, Reminisce, had sent them. “My daughter is already asleep… this is Tuesday, at 11:18 pm,” she said, showing a video clip of baby Reminisce sent by “Bozo.”

Claressa Shields and Papoose

Meanwhile, Remy’s response to Bozo read “Leave me alone.” When they replied, “You should be thanking me,” she hit back with a facepalm emoji. Remy even teased that she could play recordings of Pap “crying and pleading” if she wanted to prove her point. “You’re never going to win this with me,” she declared. “The woman that you knew, she is gone.”

Social Media Reacts To Remy Ma’s Response

The Roomies were well invested in the drama, with many taking to the comments of TSR’s post to sound off. Peep the comments…

Papoose’s Cheating Allegations Stir The Pot

Right before Remy Ma’s clapback, Papoose went on his own IG Live, airing out some serious accusations. He claimed he first caught Remy cheating with Eazy The Block Captain back in 2022. “That wasn’t the first time I caught her cheating,” he added. “I’ve caught her cheating numerous times since she’s been home.” Messy! He also accused Remy of keeping him from seeing their daughter since their split. Pap said he usually stays quiet, but the mother of his child mentioning their daughter has pushed him to speak out.

Papoose shared some alleged audio of Remy Ma’s alleged side piece, whereas Claressa Shields is trying to dispel some alleged lies.

The relationship drama between former L&HH:NY couple Remy Ma and Papoose just got a whole lot spicier. Fans can’t believe how messy the latter is getting, according to some new reports from The Neighborhood Talk and Livebitez on Instagram.

First off, the Brooklyn rapper played alleged audio of Remy’s supposed side piece, Eazy The Block Captain, threatening to blackmail her with receipts of her cheating. Then, he played audio of her allegedly saying she wouldn’t be talking to Eazy anymore if it wasn’t for this alleged blackmail situation. This is all still pretty vague and unclear, so maybe we’re missing something here. At the end of the day, it seems like both these former lovers have a lot of individual drama to address and face accountability for.

What’s more is that Pap’s new girlfriend Claressa Shields is not here for any of the lies or drama. She recently took to Twitter to accuse the Bronx femcee of lying to the public about this whole situation. Some fans have been very supportive, whereas others think Shields is in a tough spot amid this decades-long relationship.

Did Remy Ma Cheat On Papoose?

Claressa Shields

“I heard so many lies today it was crazy,” Claressa Shields said of Remy Ma and Papoose. “One, if my breakfast club interview triggered her that much… just wait til I address the lies she told today. 2. Papoose is not my manager… I don’t let nothing or nobody play with my money. Since I’ve been with Pap he has created opportunities for me to get bags! So all that talk was cap.”

“3. Don’t try and diminish this man character,” she continued. “Pap is a helpful man that’s just how he is. It take a lot to piss him off. He’s very loyal and solid. Word is bond to him. 4. We been living our best life since mid-August last year. I really enjoyed out private relationship for reasons like this. All these people judging a situation they know nothing about. Pap was separated way before I came along.”

“5. HONDA AIRBNBS, HOTELS!!!!! Man stoppppp! It’s crazy how everybody broke, I’m sorry to tell you but I fight too good to be broke. All my cars are 2022s and 20223s, Pap drive a Benz! And got his own place. Everyone know my houses I got. No need to speak lies when the truth will set you free.”

“Good night,” Shields concluded her rant. “Now if I wake up tomorrow to some more bulls**t….. it’s gonna be a problem.”

At the end of the day, both cheating rumors against this couple haven’t been confirmed by either party. So things still remain speculative so far, even if they’re trying to make proof eventually lead the other to admit their alleged infidelity.

NEW YORK – Claressa Shields has a suggestion for how to end the United States’ Olympic gold drought: put her back on the national team.

The 30-year-old Shields, who won the last two Olympic golds for the United States, in 2012 and 2016, says she would be open to returning to the amateur ranks for one more run – at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. That is, if USA Boxing would be willing to allow professionals to compete on their team.

“Let me come back. I’m the only one who did it twice,” Shields, 16-0 (3 KOs), said at Tuesday’s media workout at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn, New York. “If America wants to get another Olympic gold medal, you put Claressa Shields in the 2028 L.A. Olympics – that’s what you’re doing.”

Currently, USA Boxing bars anyone who has competed as a professional from being licensed as an amateur, though many other countries allow professionals to compete in amateur tournaments. Most notably, Beatriz Ferreira, the current IBF women’s lightweight titleholder, represented Brazil at the 2024 Olympics, earning a bronze in Paris. She won the title last April, and then within a month was competing in an amateur tournament, the Eindhoven Box Cup in the Netherlands, to prepare for the Olympics in July.

While most of the pros who competed in 2024 had just a handful of professional fights, there were some who were more experienced, like the 19-0 Oshin Derieuw, of Belarus, or the 14-0 Bakhodir Jalolov, of Uzbekistan, or the 11-0-1 Estelle Mossely, of France.

The United States has sent pro boxers to the Olympics only once previously, to the Tokyo Games in 2021, after the Americas qualification tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Keyshawn Davis, Troy Isley and Duke Ragan were awarded spots in the one-year-delayed Olympics based on their amateur world rankings.

This Olympics will be the first in which World Boxing will oversee Olympic boxing, after the previous two tournaments were conducted directly by the International Olympic Committee in the wake of the permanent suspension of the scandal-riddled AIBA.

Shields, who will make her first defense of the undisputed heavyweight championship on July 26 against Lani Daniels, says she would be motivated by the prospect of adding another medal to the two she already has featured on the Olympic tattoo on her right bicep. While she would likely have to put her pro aspirations on hold to train with the national team, it’s something she’d be willing to do.

“Everybody wants money, but three Olympic gold medals? I’m already stunting with the two. I’ll change it to three quick,” said Shields.

When Shields first competed in the Olympics as part of the inaugural slew of female boxers, there were just three weight classes to compete in. At Los Angeles 2028, there will be a total of seven women’s weight categories, though the 75kg category she once competed in is now split between the 70kg and 80+kg super heavyweight divisions.

Claressa Shields

Shields revealed earlier in the week on “The Ariel Helwani Show” that she had received an offer to represent Azerbaijan in the 2020 Olympics, but she rejected the offer, stating that if she was to compete again in the Olympics, she would prefer to do so for the United States. Outside of Shields, the only boxer to win an Olympic gold for the US in the last 29 years is Andre Ward, who won a gold at the 2004 Games in Athens, Greece.

Outside of directly competing, Shields suggested that USA Boxing invite previous medalists to mentor the team, which she believes can help boost the boxers’ mental fortitude.

“USA Boxing needs to invite out the Olympic champions to the guys and girls who want to become Olympic champions,” she said. “I think being an Olympic gold medalist, it’s more about your mental than it is your physical. That’s what’s missing when it comes to USA Boxing. I think I had a different mentality than everyone else, and that’s how I won two Olympic gold medals, which hadn’t been done before.”

One sport Shields won’t be returning to is mixed martial arts. Shields, who has an MMA record of 2-1 in three fights in Professional Fighters League, says she doesn’t have anything left to prove in that sport.

“I did my work there,” said Shields. “I proved everybody wrong, I beat girls that were brown belts, had all this experience on the ground, and now I’m done with MMA and focused on my boxing career.”

Anthony Joshua Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If Daniel Dubois Shot On Oleksandr Usyk Was Low

Anthony Joshua has been up close and personal with both Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Uysk.

Joshua was a two-time world champion when he stepped into the ring with Usyk back in 2021. Their first fight was a close-fought and technical 12-round battle that saw the Ukraine former cruiserweight king come away with three of the four world title belts.

He then defended them with another 12-round points win in the rematch in 2022. In August 2023 Usyk stepped in with young puncher Dubois and was put down in round five from a body shot that was immediately and controversially ruled low by the referee. Usyk was given all the time he needed to recover, which he did and then managed to push on to get a KO win in the 9th round.

After that, he beat Tyson Fury on points to become undisputed but had to vacate the IBF belt before a rematch with the Gyspy King, which he also won.

In the meantime, Dubios picked up the IBF belt after beating Filip Hrgovic by knockout, then followed it up with a five-round demolition of Joshua to set up the rematch with Usyk on July 19 at Wembley Stadium and a shot at undisputed honours.

Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua

Speaking on BoxNation, ‘AJ’ was pushed for his view on whether or not the shot that saw Usyk hit the canvas for the only time in his career was legal or low.

“Probably legal. It’s a fight, you get hit, you get hit round the belt, round the leg. He got hit and he went down. Legal.”

Dubois will be hoping to do better the second time around in front of a home crowd. Whichever man prevails, Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora will both be waiting close by for their mandatory shot at the WBO and IBF belts respectively, while Agit Kabayal is a number one ranked contender who will also be hoping for his own tilt at his first full world title.
