Riley Gaines appears to unearth old tweet by ‘truly sick bully’ Simone Biles that ‘undermines nonsensical’ trans feud

Simone Biles and Riley Gaines engaged in a feud on social media over trans women

SWIMMER Riley Gaines hit back at Simone Biles in their feud over transgender athletes.

Gaines, 25, is an activist campaigning against the participation of trans women in female sports.

Simone Biles is the GOAT in every sense of the word.

The seven-time Olympic champion stood up for transgender athletes Friday night, taking to X to chastise Riley Gaines for the relentless verbal abuse she directs at transgender girls and women.

“You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,” Biles wrote. “You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports more inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category in ALL SPORTS!!

“But instead… You bully them…” Biles continued. “One thing for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!”

Biles then added in a second post, “Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.”

Gaines replied that Biles’ post was “so disappointing.” Which is just further proof that Gaines needs to get out of her right-wing bubble a bit more.

Anyone who is even slightly familiar with Biles knows she is an ally. Of her teammates. Of her competitors. Of sexual abuse survivors. And unabashedly of the LGBTQ community.

She also has little use for anyone who punches down on others, which is Gaines’ specialty.

Gaines has used her tie for fifth place with Lia Thomas, a transgender woman, in the 200-yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA championships to become a MAGA media darling. But her grifting has done real harm to the transgender community, which is already at an elevated risk for suicide and self-harm.

There is no scientific evidence that transgender women athletes have a physical advantage over cisgender women athletes, but that hasn’t stopped Gaines from claiming they do. She insists they are “robbing” cisgender women of places on the podium, and she doesn’t care if it’s a 12- or 22-year-old that she’s putting in harm’s way in this overheated climate where ignorance and violence are celebrated equally.

Gaines has publicly lobbied for Biles and Caitlin Clark to support her in her hate which, again, is a laughable idea to anyone who has followed Biles’ illustrious career.

Biles is the most decorated gymnast of all time, man or woman, with 11 medals at the Olympics — seven of them gold — and 30 at the world championships. She has five skills named after her, two each on vault and floor exercise and one on balance beam. She has taken the idea that women’s gymnastics was a sport reserved for the young and turned it on its head, still dominating in her late 20s.

That has not spared Biles from the venom of keyboard warriors like Gaines, however. She was criticized for withdrawing during the team finals at the Tokyo Olympics because of a case of “the twisties,” never minding that not knowing where she was in the air meant she very well could have landed on her neck instead of her feet. She’s taken heat for her hair, her marriage, even her self-confidence.

But you don’t accomplish what Biles has without being fearless, and her admonishment of Gaines on Friday night was yet another example.

Gaines had inserted herself into the conversation about the Class 4A softball championship in Minnesota, claiming Champlin Park had “hijacked” the title because its star pitcher is a transgender young woman. Never mind that there are nine players on a softball team and Champlin Park won the title game 6-0.

Or that her teammates “love having her out there. She’s a great kid and a great teammate.”

Gaines has never let facts get in her way, so she posted three times about it in a two-hour span. Made sure to mention the name of the transgender athlete, as well, while purposely misgendering her.

That was enough for Biles. That high school junior in Minnesota and all the other transgender women Gaines demonizes might not have platforms large enough to counter her vitriol, but Biles does. And she was happy to put it to good use.

Biles once agreed that men would dominate women’s sports. So why is she mocking Riley Gaines for saying the same thing now?

Old tweets have a way of biting you in the butt sometimes — just ask Simone Biles.

In the latest chapter of her public feud with OutKick’s own Riley Gaines, Biles is now being called out for a tweet she posted back in October 2017. And it’s not a great look.

The post, which was dug up and re-shared by Gaines, shows the star Olympic gymnast responding to a now-deactivated account with the message: “ahhhh good thing guys don’t compete against girls or he’d take all the gold medals !!”

Gaines wasted no time pointing out the irony, re-posting Biles’ old tweet and writing: “Oop don’t you hate it when your past self completely undermines your current nonsensical argument? How has 2025 Simone reconciled with the fact 2017 Simone was a ‘truly sick bully’ by her own standard?”

For anyone who missed the context: the beef between these two athletes began after Gaines criticized the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) for allowing a trans-identifying male athlete to compete — and win — a girls’ softball state championship. Biles jumped in, attacking Gaines personally, calling her a “sore loser,” “truly sick,” and suggesting she “bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.”

The insults drew backlash online, especially Biles’ decision to body-shame another female athlete while claiming to champion “inclusion.”

But now the criticism is heating up — not just over what Biles said in 2025, but what she clearly believed in 2017.

To be fair, the tweet Biles was responding to back then came from an account that’s since been deactivated, so we don’t know exactly whom or what she was referencing. But even without full context, the sentiment is crystal clear: male athletes have a competitive advantage over female athletes.

And, Simone, we couldn’t agree more.

Simone Biles attacks Riley Gaines after her latest rant with transgender athletes: “You’re truly sick, straight up sore loser”

Simone Biles has publicly criticized former collegiate swimmer, Riley Gaines, as the Olympic champion describes her as “truly sick” and a “sore loser” following the latest comments about transgender athletes.

The confrontation emerged after the 25-year-old right-wing personality mocked a Minnesota high school girls’ softball team that includes a transgender player, something that the artistic gymnast isn’t letting slide.

“Comments off lol … To be expected when your star player is a boy,” Gaines had commented on X.com, formerly Twitter, after the Minnesota State High School League shared a celebratory post upon the Class AAAA state championship.

Simone responded sharply, denouncing her history of remarks about transgender inclusion in sports and offering a big wave of support and allyship to the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.

“You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,” Biles wrote on X. “You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports.

“Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports. But instead … You bully them … One thing’s for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around.”

Gaines fires back at Biles

Gaines has become a prominent figure in the campaign against transgender athletes competing in women’s and girls’ sports after she tied for fifth place with Lia Thomas, a trans swimmer, at the 2022 NCAA Swimming Championships.

Since then, the political personality has been vocal in media and other spaces, arguing that the inclusion of transgender women compromises fairness in female sports – all stemming from that bitterness of losing.

“This is actually so disappointing,” Gaines said, retorting back at Biles. “It’s not my job or the job of any woman to figure out how to include men in our spaces.

“You can uplift men stealing championships in women’s sports with YOUR platform. Men don’t belong in women’s sports and I say that with my full chest.”

In recent years, she has aligned herself with recent political measures aimed at restricting transgender participation in sports as she continues to venture into reactionary political opinions.

In February 2024, she appeared at the White House, where President Donald Trump signed an executive order that attempts to bar transgender girls and women from competing in female school sports.

The executive action, which may face legal challenges, calls for the Department of Justice to enforce the exclusion nationwide and threatens to withdraw federal funding from non-compliant schools.

“I wish I could’ve told the girl in this photo what was to come in 2025,” Gaines said of her newfound fame. “She felt cheated, betrayed, and violated.

“I’m just glad that girl trusted God and took a leap of faith by stating the obvious when it wasn’t popular. It was true then and it’s true now. He’s a man.”

The participation of trans athletes in women’s sports remains one of the most complex and heated issues today. This is especially true in the United States, where President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14201 in February, titled Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.

“The radical left has waged a relentless campaign to erase the very concept of biological sex and replace it with militant transgender ideology. With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over,” Trump declared after signing the measure—a move that raises pressing questions for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

In this context, the debate is ongoing and intense. On Saturday, one of the most decorated athletes in history, Simone Biles, weighed in, defending trans athletes in response to a post by former swimmer Riley Gaines. Gaines, once a collegiate rival of Lia Thomas and now a collaborator with Turning Point USA (TPUSA)—a conservative organization focused on promoting right-wing values in American educational institutions—criticized the outcome of a high school softball championship.

To be expected when your star player is a boy,” Gaines posted on X, referring to Champlin Park High School’s victory in the Minnesota girls’ state championship, alleging the team included a trans player.

Biles quickly responded, sparking a public clash between the two athletes. “You are miserable—this whole campaign because you lost a race. You are a bitter loser,” Biles wrote. “You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL SPORTS!! But instead … You bully them … One thing’s for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!”

The American gymnast, a 41-time Olympic and World Championship medalist, prompted a series of responses from Gaines.

“This is really, really disappointing. It’s not my job or any woman’s job to figure out how to include men in our spaces. You can support men stealing championships in women’s sports with your platform. Men have no place in women’s sports, and I mean that wholeheartedly.”

‘Simone Biles championing men at the expense of young girls’ dreams?’

Her comments escalated further. “My opinion is the least controversial in the world. Simone Biles championing men at the expense of young girls’ dreams? I didn’t have that on my bingo card. Maybe I could compete on pommel horse in 2028,” she added sarcastically.

In her final responses, Gaines referenced the abuse Biles suffered at the hands of former U.S. women’s team doctor Larry Nassar, who was sentenced to 175 years in prison.

“All of the horrific sexual abuse witnessed and reported by Simone Biles was caused by a man, yet she believes women should be forced to strip in front of men to validate the man’s feelings. Do you know how many gold medals you would have if your dream of being inclusive came true? None.”

She concluded by attempting to clarify her remarks: “I hope Larry Nassar spends the rest of his life rotting in prison. The gymnasts were let down by a system that protected an abusive man at the expense of the girls’ safety.”

Coco Gauff names LeBron James, Simone Biles and more as her inspirations outside tennis

World No. 2 Coco Gauff, who reached the 2025 French Open final, has revealed which athletes outside of tennis are her inspiration.

  • Lois Boisson’s profile: Who is French young tennis star? Age, height, career, ranking, partner, family and more
  • Novak Djokovic becomes the second oldest player to reach Roland Garros semifinals: Who holds the record?

Coco Gauff has been one of tennis’ rising stars in recent years. Already a Grand Slam winner, the American star, currently World No. 2, has made her way to the top of the WTA elite. While she has already revealed who she considers to be the GOAT of tennis, she recently opened up about which athletes inspired her outside of tennis.

“Sydney McLaughlin is someone I really like and look up to in that way,” she said of the two-time Olympic hurdler and sprinter. She also had some words for Simone Biles, who has won 11 Olympic medals.

“She just pushes herself and to me that’s crazy because in tennis we had Rafa, Roger and Novak all pushing each other, but in gymnastics, she doesn’t have anyone. So, the fact that she’s been able to move against herself. I think it is pretty cool,” she said during a press conference in Roland Garros.

Gauff also mentioned some basketball legends. “You have the obvious like LeBron, Michael and Kobe, that Mamba mentality. Those are people I look up to outside of tennis, but in tennis, it’s the usual: Serena, Rafa, Novak and Roger. The best of the best,” she added.

The 21-year-old has won nine career singles titles, including the 2023 US Open and 2024 WTA Finals, and nine doubles titles, including the 2024 French Open. With her win over Lois Boisson on Wednesday, Gauff has reached her first singles final at Roland Garros.

Gauff’s 2025 season so far: She could add her second major win in singles

Gauff opened the year with a strong performance, going unbeaten at the United Cup and leading Team USA to the title with a straight-sets win over Iga Swiatek. At the Australian Open, Gauff reached the quarterfinals before falling to Paula Badosa, ending her 13-match win streak.

While she was eliminated at the Round of 16 in both Miami and Indian Wells, she rebounded strongly on clay, reaching the finals in both Madrid and Rome with key wins over top-ranked players. Now, at Roland Garros she could add her second major win in singles, but first she will have to beat Aryna Sabalenka in the final on Saturday.

Either way, Gauff has made history as the youngest player to reach 25 career wins at Roland Garros since Martina Hingis achieved the feat in 2000. Hingis was just 19 when she hit that milestone in Paris.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens Settle Into $3M Custom Texas Mansion

Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens have wrapped construction on a new $3 million lakefront home in Spring, Texas. The couple started building in early 2023. By January 2025, they had moved in.

This Simone Biles house marks their long-term primary residence. Biles confirmed the move through several Instagram posts showing off interior and exterior details.

Where is the House?

  • Located in Spring, TX — a suburb north of Houston

  • Set on a private lakefront lot

  • Gated community with luxury properties

Home Features

  • 4,000 square feet of interior space

  • 4 bedrooms

  • 3.5 bathrooms

  • Home theater

  • Wet bar

  • Game room

  • Large balcony with lake view

  • Custom swimming pool and attached spa

Construction Timeline

  • Started: March 2023

  • Completed: January 2025

  • Duration: Just under two years

Is This Their Permanent Home?

Yes. The Spring home is their primary residence. However, the couple also has a temporary base in Chicago during NFL season. Owens is under contract with the Chicago Bears through 2026.

They were previously living in a $2 million property in Houston, TX. That home has since been sold or vacated, according to public real estate records.

This Simone Biles house shows how top athletes reinvest earnings into long-term assets. With Biles back in competition and Owens under a multi-year NFL contract, the couple is focused on building stability off the field.

The property value, location, and custom features suggest the home was designed as a long-term base, not a short-term flip. The move also keeps Biles close to her training facilities.

Olympic great Simone Biles enjoys Hong Kong visit, shares snaps on Instagram

US gymnast took part in the UBS Asian Investment Conference, inspiring 600 young athletes

Olympic hero Simone Biles showed she was enjoying her visit to Hong Kong, as she uploaded pictures of herself in the city on her Instagram page.

The seven-time Olympic gold medallist was in the city to take part in a UBS Asian Investment Conference, where she addressed 600 young athletes as well as fans from the local gymnastics clubs.

Biles uploaded a picture of herself standing next to a sign that simply read “Hong Kong”, followed by two images of her at restaurants and another at Temple Street Night Market.

Fans flooded the comments on her post with locals thrilled to see their idol in the city and many writing “Welcome to Hong Kong”.

The 28-year-old was speaking alongside UBS Global Wealth Management Asia chair Amy Lo, who had said she was “thrilled” to welcome Biles for the conference, which ran from May 27 to 30.

Biles, who received worldwide acclaim after withdrawing from the team event at the 2020 Olympics to focus on her mental health, discussed the topic of resilience.

“When you think about the hours and hours and hours she’s put in to become this iconic, successful gymnast, she certainly inspires me,” Niall Macleod, UBS’ head of product management for the Asia-Pacific region, said of Biles.

Simone Biles calls out Kylie Jenner’s clothing line for ‘criminal’ blazer sizing

The Olympian says she ordered the jacket in the smallest size

Simone Biles has mocked Kylie Jenner’s clothing brand for its strange sizing.

The 28-year-old Olympian shared a picture of herself in the dark purple blazer from the clothing brand, Khy, on Instagram on Tuesday. In the mirror selfie, the jacket appeared to be way too big on Biles, with the large sleeves extending beyond her hands.

The jacket was also quite long on Biles and went down to her knees. In the caption, the athlete mocked the sizing of the look and called out Jenner.

“Ms. Kylie Jenner, this is a crime !!!!!!” Biles wrote, adding a series of laughing face emojis. “This is not an XXS/XS.”

Biles compared her appearance in the blazer to an exaggerated oversized look on model Gigi Hadid, writing: “This is me on the last slide. SICK.”

In the photo, Biles appeared to be wearing Khy’s Faux Leather Oversized Blazer in the merlot shade, which retails for $138. However, the brand sells other blazers that aren’t oversized, which retail from $118 to $298.

Speaking to The Independent, a source close to Jenner defended the jacket, saying it was meant to be an oversized piece that replicates how the reality star “loves to wear her jackets.”

“Even though it’s an XXS/XS, you can push the sleeves up, wear open or fully buttoned up, or pair with tights and a bralette to wear it almost like a dress. It is supposed to have an almost trench-like look when worn over a dress,” the source said. “It was developed alongside other oversized pieces in the KHY Wardrobe collection.”

The company also sells mini dresses, denim jackets, bralettes, footed leggings, joggers, long-sleeved thumb-hole tees, and more. In March, Khy released a collection of latex dresses, skirts, and tops, which come in red, white, or black. The new line was also a part of Khy’s partnership with Poster Girl.

While wearing one of the red dresses, Jenner spoke about how confident she felt in the latex outfit and poked fun at how often she’d wear it.

“I’d wear this out to the club. I’d wear this outfit to pick up my kids from school,” she quipped in a video on Khy’s Instagram page at the time. “I would wear this outfit to take business meetings. I feel very snatched in this outfit.”

To create the clothing line, which launched in November 2023, Jenner partnered with her mom, Kris Jenner, as well as the impressive investor duo Emma and Jens Grede, co-founders of numerous celebrity brands such as Skims, Good American, and Brady. Khy surpassed $1 million in sales within the first hour after its launch, according to a People report.

Simone Biles

During an interview with Vogue after her company launched, Jenner made it clear that she’s “completely involved” in the work that’s being done to build her brand.

“From original concept, to designing, or co-designing if we’re working with other designers, from picking fabrics, colors, I’ve been in every fit meeting. I am the creative director of the brand and marketing,” she said. “There’s not an Instagram post or video that hasn’t been personally edited by me, there hasn’t been an Instagram post that I haven’t posted myself.

“I do the creative for all my shoots. I’ve worked really hard on it, I’ve put my love into it, and I can’t wait for people to experience the clothes. It’s very personal,” she added.

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles may be small in size, but not small enough for Kylie Jenner’s fashion line, it seems.

On Tuesday, Biles posted a playful selfie on her Instagram Story. She was seen wearing a very oversized burgundy leather blazer. The coat was so big, Biles couldn’t help but joke about it.

“Ms. Kylie Jenner this is a crime!!!!! This is not an XXS/XS,” Biles wrote across the image.

The blazer was part of Jenner’s fashion collection from her KHY brand. It featured a rich burgundy color, boxy fit and wide lapels. The double-breasted design, along with large buttons and flap pockets, gave it a dramatic, edgy look, typical of Jenner’s style. But for Biles, who stands just 4’8”, the “extra small” size clearly didn’t do the trick.

The Instagram moment adds to a fun few months for Biles. After winning three gold medals and one silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics, she toured the US with her “Gold Over America Tour.” She also made red carpet appearances at big events like the 2025 Met Gala and the Kentucky Derby.

While her future in gymnastics is still uncertain, she hasn’t confirmed if she’ll compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, Biles is keeping busy. She recently appeared at a Netflix event for her docuseries, “Simone Biles Rising.”

“I’m not sure at what capacity [I’ll be involved],” Biles explained, per Parade. Biles also said that she’s currently taking time off to support her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, and focus on her health.

For now, she’s enjoying life off the mat. And that includes having fun with fashion — even if that means playfully calling out Kylie Jenner over a not-so-fitted coat.
